It seems our little friend Dexter has quite a bit on his mind nowadays. The good thing is that he's actually saying things and going on about who knows what. The bad thing is that we're not exactly sure we know what he's talking about.

We put the accordion down for a few days to give it a rest. Unfortunately, we picked up the old electric guitar and gave it a whirl. Dexter is enjoying putting the vibes that the amplifier cranks out; he puts his hand on it and feels the music come flowing through.

We're going to have to retire the red overalls. The Dexican's ample frame is becoming, how shall we put this, a little large and is too snug. Oh well, it served him well and I'm sure he'll miss them dearly.

To top off his rockin' outfit, we got Dexatrim a pair of sweet shoes with skull and crossbones. Here's a close up of them.

Ren came by to say hi. Dexter doesn't always flash his smile for the camera, but then he saw her and not only gave up the smile, but also the dimples.

Hey hey, just checking in. Actually, I forgot to add a little gem to the last entry. We let Dexter crawl around in the backyard and here's the end result.

Hello, everyone. We took a little jaunt out to Marin (Novato, actually) to visit Jennifer and little Amelia. Amelia and Dexter's birthdates are only three days apart. Looks like April is going to be a busy month for birtdays.

Strange, but seems like Dexter is afraid of the ladies. Amelia gave Dexter a little chase and Dexter, being the man that he is, started crying. Go figure.

Mom took the D-Unit to say hi to Auntie Shannon the other day. You can see the dimples, but the pacifier is hiding his toothy grin.

We walked down to Franklin Park since it was a nice day out. The merry-go-round is a big hit with the kids these days, from my understanding.

And the accompanying video for the merry-go-round.

Oh, here's a picture of Tita Katie at 17 weeks. Looks like her baby belly is coming along quite nicely. She finds out March 1st (Uncle Victor's birthday) whether or not she's carrying a little boy or a little girl. Eee! So excited! Dexter's future first cousin is called "Cutie" Coleman for now.

We had lunch with Auntie Shannon and Uncle Jeremy at a Dexican place here in Alameda. Here's the little man sharing a moment with his Uncle Jeremy.

Ok, this was a long blog entry and it makes a boy very tired. We must get our beauty rest, you know.

Hey everyone. First off, wanted to thank Aunt Shannon and her friend, Jenny, for babysitting the D-Unit. The reason for the babysitting stint? So we could go out and celebrate Suzie's Birthday! Hooray for Suzie's Birthday!

Let's start off this posting with a little video that Suzie put together. It's of Dexter using the tv remote control. He treats the remote not unlike I do when I get frustrated. That is, hit myself in the head then try to eat it.

Before we went out to celebrate Suzie's Birthday, we did some errands with our little friend Dexter. Here we are at Rockridge Kids, this great kid's store in Rockridge. I saw these nifty looking Moses Baskets and had to see if Dexter could fit in one of them. Lo and behold, he can; just barely.

It's like he's baby Moses and we're about to let him drift down the river. It was raining hard enough this day to do that!

Dinner was at a restaurant named, Fondue Fred's. That's right, it was a fondue restaurant. We had six, count them SIX, types of cheese fondues. Suzie and Rebecca posed before the fondues hit the table.

Anthony and I just being the guys. Check out Anthony's website; I put a link to it on the right side of this page.

Lisa, Kirstyn and Jenny having a group hug. What better time to do a group hug than for Huggy's, I mean, Suzie's Birthday?

I'll close out this post with a video of our little friend chasing the red laser dot around. It's fun for a few minutes, but I'm beginning to think that Dexter is wising up to the fact that it's just a game.

Guess who had a 9 month doctor's appointment on Monday? None other than the D-Unit (even though he's closer to 10 months now). Turns out our little friend currently weighs 20 pounds, 8 ounces and is 29 inches in height. Suzie and I were both wrong in guessing that he weighed 22 pounds or more. Dr. Parker says that The Dexican is in the 50th percentile in both weight and height which means he's average. Not average in looks, though. If you have something to say about that, leave a comment in the comments section below.

Jeanette was the lucky nurse who got to see me in my birthday suit.

Check out my lovely mom and me. We had some good fun posing in front of the mirror. This shot is one of dad's favorites now.

Check out The Dexican. He sure can tickle those piano keys. And by tickle, I mean pound.

I'm thinking of giving Dexter some accordion lessons since he's obviously mastered the piano. I can see why he would love to try out the piano accordion.

Momma's gotta get her musical groove on too. Maybe we'll be a family of accordion players and make millions touring the country. Or maybe we'll just stay poor for a little while longer.
