A couple of weeks ago we went to a birthday party that my Uncle Dave and Aunt Celia attended. Uncle Dave, it just so happens, officiated our wedding back in 2004. Oh! Our wedding anniversary is coming up, just in case anyone forgot!

Today we went to the park near our house. Here is Dexter having a hair-raising experience coming down the slide.

It's tough to get this Dexter character to smile. That is, I need to be even faster on the shutter button. Check out this mug.

Ok, it's not really that difficult to get him to smile. Dexter's smile is sooooo infectious!

All right, it has been awhile...AGAIN. It's been busy here in Oakland, CA. But guess what? We haven't been in Oakland all this time. That's right, we took a slight detour south to Los Angeles to visit Lola! And what kind of visit would it be if we didn't take a little side trip to Bob's Big Boy.

On the drive down, we stopped to grab some lunch. Our new thing when we eat out (which nowadays is far and few between since we've become homeowners!), we sit at a booth in order to keep Dexter corralled. Here he is giving daddy a little sugar

Whew! All this driving sure can tucker out even the most hardy of road warriors.

This is Dexter posing in front of Lola's house when we arrived. Charming as ever.

Oh the joy on Dexalotapus' face! He was playing with his hopscotch kit at Lola's house. He was doing pretty good too!

Wow, two pictures of Dexter and me in the same post. What are the chances? Either way, this is a pretty neat pic of Dexter and I looking out at Lola's backyard.

Tita Nini took us out for lunch to meet her co-workers while we were in Los Angeles. Here we are walking to lunch.

We here at the Nasol household approve of Clifton's Cafeteria. Tita Nini's co-worker, Rod, took us to this old-school cafeteria. It was like walking into a time machine and ending up in the 1950's! Words don't do it justice. Do yourself a favor when you're in Los Angeles and check out this place!

Keep your hands and feet away from our mouths! When we eat, we mean business.

And it wouldn't be a trip to LA if we didn't check out trains at Travel Town.

The sign clearly states that Dexter is not allowed to bring in alcoholic beverages. Oh well, he can always have his milk on the rocks later on.

All right everybody...All Aboard!

Driving back is hard work as evidenced here by Dexter.

And on a joyous note, Dexter's godmother, Kirstyn, got married on July 25th! Congrats to Kirstyn and Lisa! Here is the lovely couple...may they have many years of love, joy and happiness!
