Well, well, well. It's Christmas Day (or night, depending on where you are). It's been a fun Christmas and we (along with a certain little boy) are happy Christmas day is finally here.

This is what it's all about. Dexter might not get the whole concept of Christmas quite yet, but you better believe he knows how to open a present.

Here's Christmas morning with the astonishing revelation to Dexter that Santa actually came by and ate the crackers, cheese, watermelon (don't ask) and orange juice. What can we say, we didn't feel like the traditional route of giving Santa cookies and milk!

And this one is for Grandma Gail. Gail, please rest assured that the gene that programs a person for the affinity for "A Christmas Story" has been passed on to Dexter.

We here at the Dexfiles hope you and your family had a great Christmas. Happy holidays and we look forward to 2009!

Santa's on his way! And daddy made the mistake of mentioning orange trash trucks and the end result? An early present.

We hope everyone is having a great Christmas eve! I know I'm having a heck of a time putting together one toy for Dexter...

Greetings from Los Angeles! Dexter and his entourage of Suzie and Ramon took a road trip down Interstate 5 to visit, Lola, Tita Nini and Victor. Santa's almost here, so we thought we take a trip to LA to say hello to everyone.

To appease our little friend after a very long drive, we went to Travel Town to look at the trains. Here's Suzie and Dexter running down the tracks to get out of the way of a locomotive. Seems to me, Dexter isn't concerned that much about the train.

I LOVE the look on Dexter's face as he looks lovingly into Lola's eyes.

And let's not forget safety first. Dexter holds Lola's hand in order to be in safe company.

Goodbye for now! Hope everyone is having a great holiday season.

Hello everyone, we hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. We here at the Dex files are indeed enjoying it to the fullest (well, as much as the economy allows us).

That said, Uncle CJ came by last week to babysit Dexter. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be an evening out for the 'rents, but at least Uncle CJ got to spend some quality with Dexter.

You know what we live by? An equestrian center. And we're talking real close, less than a mile away (a mile up the hill, that is). Here is Suzie and Dexter posing with Figaro (the horse on the left) and Rupert (the English mastiff on the right). Funny that the dog is bigger than the horse!

And finally, he fell asleep this way...

Even with his surprised look on his face, this picture is lovely to me.
