Suzie and Dexter were lounging around one early morning when they heard a ruckus outsied. Lo and behold, there was a backhoe doing some street work. If you look at Dexter's not so tiny left hand, you can see he's holding his own little backhoe to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

We went to the Oakland Zoo this morning. We bought a family membership not too long ago and figured the nice weather warranted a trip. Dexter and I donned our LA Dodgers caps for the experience.

Trains. We hear about trains every single dingle minute of the day. That's pretty much all Dexalotapus talks about. So lucky for us, there's a miniature train ride at the zoo that goes around the zoo and has a magnificent view of the bay.

That's it for now.Stay tuned cause this coming week is going to be a very busy week!

Thank you for the post. I miss Dexter already. Glad to hear that he got to ride the train around the zoo. Hopefully, one day I can take Dexter on a real train ride, like I took Ramon on a train ride from Los Angeles to San Francisco when he was about 9 or 10 years old. We took that ride with my Mom and Dad. I remember that was my parents first trip to the Bay Area and maybe the first one that Ramon could remember well.
