All right, everyone, hope you have a little bit of time this week. Lots of pictures in this post. Why? Well, just haven't been able to post all the pictures that I've taken lately. Anyway, lots of stories to tell in this post.

Dexter found one of his caps that was given to him at Alta Bates Hospital when he was born. What do you know? It still fits! Well, kinda fits.

The Dexican is ready to work at the rock quarry (which is just a pile of rocks down the street). He's ready to rock! Get it?

Dexter's friend, Amelia, came by with her parents, Jennifer and Pat. Here's the two of them sitting down at the dining table enjoying an early dinner. What red-blooded American boy starts dinner without his Hummer nearby? And note the star-shaped "totes" (toast) on Amelia's plate; Suzie has been going crazy with the cookie cutter trying to make Dex's food more tantalizing.

During the visit, Dexter pulled his chair up to watch the BBQ. There's something about watching the coals smolder that just puts a guy at ease.

Well, well, well. Guess what Dexter did this week?

After 2 years and 3 months, it was time for Dexalotapus to get his hairs cut. That's right, everyone, Dexter got his FIRST HAIRCUT! Here are a couple of befores so you can see the massive transformation.

Dexter's hair was getting in his face just a little too much, see?

They say the first cut is usually the hardest. Not in this case. Dexter sat on the floor and played while his hair was snipped.

Just a little bit off the top, please.

Oh man, how handsome is Dexter?

What a loving look from Suzie to Dexter. Such a wonderful first haircut! He didn't cry at all. If anything, he was indifferent to it. I guess he could take it or leave it.

And to top it all off, Dexter got a commemorative plaque (including a lock of his hair) to mark the special occasion. That's it for now, see you all soon!

I'm reading this at a cyber cafe so can't download the pictures like I'm used to. Hope to do that at home one of these days. The pictures of him with his haircut are heartbreakingly lovable. And that picture of Amelia with her star-shaped toast is a keeper. What a face!
(I think the young guy who's overseeing this internet place is playing the corner and singing with a friend. He's cute but can't sing very well.)
Love you

My comment about the guy running this internet cafe didn't turn out quite right. He's playing the guitar.
